Saline Celtic Festival

Saline Celtic Festival is an annual medieval-themed event taking place every July at Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, north of Saline, Michigan. The beloved community event with long history boasts high-quality entertainment, like Highland games, live music, a Highland dance competition, jousting, Corgi races, historical re-enactments, and much more.

Seline Celtic Festival starts with the Parade and the Opening Ceremony. The air reverberates with the sounds of pipes & drums as the Mighty Clans, fairies, unicorns, corgis, and athletes head to the Red Dragon Stage. Drum and pipe bands are followed by Saline Fiddlers and other groups.

Highland Games at Saline Celtic Festival gather athletes from all over the Midwest. With challenges like the stone throw, heavy hammer throw, weight for distance & over-the-bar, sheaf toss, and caber toss, there's a lot to see and cheer for.

Little visitors can enjoy a special Wee Folk Fun area with free games, arts, crafts, and ducky races. The main attraction is the Kids' Wee Folks Parade, with bagpipes marches through the Festival Grounds.

The festival is also known for a variety of music and dance workshops, like Tin Whistle, Bodhran Drumming, Contra Dancing, and Sea Shanty Singing. Adults can enjoy live music at the beer Pavilion boasting local craft beer, wine, mead, and cider.
