King Richard’s Faire is the premier Renaissance festival in New England. Held in Carver, Massachusetts, the faire takes place every fall, from the first weekend in September through the third weekend in October. Attendees of King Richard's Faire step back in time into a 16th-century village with a royal court and a bustling marketplace. Mingle with the colorful crowd of singers, magicians, dancers, minstrels, jugglers, whip artists, comedians, mimes, puppeteers, acrobats, mud beggars, stilt walkers, and brave jousting knights on horseback!
King Richard's Faire is held in a picturesque forested area, on 80 acres (32 ha). Entertainment on eight stages includes a royal parade, a jousting tournament, and hundreds of talented performers. The musical comedy, Maypole Dance, and Human Chess game are some of the most popular shows at the faire.
Held since 1982, King Richard's Faire is the longest-running New England's Renaissance fair, known for its excellent entertainment, exciting rides, and challenging games. In addition, artisans offer their handcrafted goods, and plenty of delicious food is available for the public. Snack on giant turkey legs, ringlets of fries, and boules of chowder or stew! Adults can also try signature cocktails, wine, and mead. The fair runs from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm.
