Michigan Nordic Fire Festival is a Viking-themed annual event that is held during the last weekend of February in Charlotte, Michigan. The fun-filled three-day festival features battles, combat performances, archery, blacksmiths demonstrations, sled races, spear throwing, ax throwing, Ring of Steel Fire Performance, and much more.
Michigan Nordic Fire Festival highlights also include ship burning and mid-winter feast as well family-friendly activities and fun competitions, like beard contest, Tug of War, Horn Blast of Heroes, Valhalla Drag, and more. The Marketplace is full of merchants that offer apparel, leather goods, embroidery, Viking Cofee, Viking Wears, Works of Art Taxidermy, and much much more.
Since 2016, Michigan Nordic Fire Festival has been celebrating winter, fire, family, and fun. The event provides a great opportunity to get outside and see the unique Viking Encampment as well as learn about Vikings and Celtic culture. Musical performances are held during all three days. The festival runs from 5 pm on Friday to 4 pm on Sunday. Mead Hall operates from 5 pm to 11 pm on Friday, and from noon to 11 pm on Saturday.
