The Sparta Renaissance Festival is a medieval fair held in Sparta, New Jersey, every September. The festival features three weekends of magical fun at the beautiful Camp Sacajawea, located on White Lake Rd, right next to the Sussex County Vo-Tech School. Entertainment at the fair includes jousting, knights, jesters, live music, and unique competitions and activities.

Travel back in time into a fantasy village to revel in merriment and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with dozens of performers and knights providing quality entertainment, like a royal wedding, theater, comedy, and jousts. Attendees can also try their hand at archery, axe throwing, boating, gem mining, serene stone cairn stacking, magical fishing, and other activities for all ages.
Festival guests can visit The Enchanted Forest to join Sir Gawain as he embarks into the enchanted forest to find the Green Knight or Bardy Pardy stylish and fun music concert by Renaissance peasant ladies. There are also activities for the kids, such as Muggle Juggle and More Show. Muggle Marty and Faerie Ella offer free juggling lessons to all interested during their children's show.
Visitors can also try Renaissance activities such as archery, ax throwing, and blacksmithing demonstrations or spend time with Captain Portias Parrots. The rich festival program can offer something interesting and exciting to every family member.
Tickets and Location
The fair is free for children under 6. Adult admission is $20, while children aged 6-12 can get in for $10. Gates are open from 10 am to 6 pm. Guests can come wearing costumes for a more immersive experience. The festival is held on White Lake Road, Sparta, NJ, United States, New Jersey, 4.7 miles (7.6 km) from Sparta Township.

Over 100 vendors and artists offer unique wares, such as handmade pottery, soaps, mystic crystals, and wands. Food vendors are also available. A bustling marketplace is filled with interesting activities and conversation. There's something for everyone to discover and purchase.
