Mythicon is a mid-winter fantasy, mystical, and magical convention featuring a mythic market, lots of music, art, and fun activities. Held at the Eisenhower Hotel & Conference Center, this unique event was designed by Rhett & Link, an American comedy duo hosting the YouTube series Good Mythical Morning.
Event Highlights
Mythicon is a gathering of all magical creatures, like faeries, mermaids, trolls, goblins, unicorns, gnomes, and others. A three-day weekend convention is aimed at tackling winter blues with merriment and quality entertainment. The highlights include the Time Traveler’s Ball and the Frost Faerie Ball.
Lineup
The lineup features artists such as Robert Turk and Ohio Burn Unit, with previous guests including Big Whimsy, Frenchy & The Punk, Billy Bardo, Kindred Crow, SJ Tucker, This Way to the Egress, and Schuyler White, among others. The Mythic Market showcases talented artisans offering handmade glass, ceramics, whimsical fantasy art, feather wings, medieval games, role-playing adventures, and unique dice-inspired jewelry.
Entertainment
As night falls, attendees can enjoy a captivating fire show by Guinness World Record holder Schuyler White and the Ohio Burn Unit, followed by mesmerizing concerts that light up Friday and Saturday evenings.
Tickets
Mythicon offers tickets to suit every plan, whether visiting for a day, an evening, or the entire weekend. Adults can enjoy the full experience with a weekend pass for $120, while teens aged 13-17 receive half-price admission at $60. Children 12 and under attend for free, making it a perfect event for the whole family.
Growth Through the Years
Mythicon was founded as a Mythic Ball at Eyeclopes Studios in Fredericksburg. The festival has grown considerably over the years and became famous for its Frost Faerie Gathering before moving to Gettysburg as a larger convention, attracting talented artists, musicians, and patrons.
