Artisphere is an annual art fair, held during Mother's Day Weekend every May in Greenville, South Carolina. Famous for its impressive arts scene and many museums, Greenville hosts the Artisphere in its walkable Downtown. The art fair spans the pedestrian area from Court and Main Streets to Wardlaw and Main Streets. The Artist Row features over 140 juried visual artists, working with 17 different mediums, such as glass, painting, ceramics, wood, furniture, jewelry, and more.
Artisphere Highlights
In addition to the Artist Row, where the public has an opportunity to meet and greet artists and see creation in process, Artisphere offers a diverse lineup of live music, theatre, and dance performances on several stages. Squonk Stage is located at Falls Park Amphitheater, Furman University Artists on the Rise Stage is located on Wardlaw & Main, WYFF Main Stage—on Broad & Main St., and United Community Stage—on Grand Bohemian Lawn. PNC Pop-Up Stages are located on Broad &Main, River & Main, and Augusta &Main. In addition, Artisphere features The Kidsphere free craft area, Live Art Demonstrations, Street Chalk Art, The Art Lab, and more. The festival is also known for mouth-watering treats from the best local eateries. From award-winning dishes to unique bites specially created for the festival, there is something for every taste.
Artisphere History
Artisphere festival in Greenville was founded in 2003 with the idea to launch a nationally recognized fine arts festival and promote economic vitality in the Upstate region. Artisphere has become a signature cultural event in the state, which attracts about 70,000 every year. The festival, which is free to the public, was chosen #3 Best Art Show in the Country by USA TODAY, and included in Top 10 Fine Art Show in the Country by Art Fair Sourcebook.
Artisphere 2025 runs from noon to 6 pm on Friday, from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday, and from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
