Every year on the weekend in late February, the folks flood the streets of downtown Lake Havasu City for the Winterfest Street Festival. Winters in the Southwestern desert are different from those in the northern regions, yet locals know how to benefit from the warm weather—to hold a large fair on Main Street (McCulloch Blvd).
Vendors from all over the United States operate in 400 booths offering arts, crafts, jewelry, home decor, and clothing. Delicious street foods and a beer garden are there too. Along with the fair, Lake Havasu's Winterfest provides live entertainment by talented musicians, pony rides, and lots of fun for the youngsters.
The hours of operation are 9 or 10 am through 5 pm. Organizers offer free admission and free parking on Swanson and Mesquite Avenues. In case you need any additional information, contact the Chamber of Commerce, the event's sponsor since 1986.
