Dubuque Air Show & Fireworks 2024 in Iowa
The breathtaking air demonstrations to mark the Independence Day
Dates: July 3, 2024
Dubuque Air Show & Fireworks takes place during the 4th of July weekend in Dubuque, Iowa. The beautiful city on the Mississippi River has been holding the annual Fireworks Spectacular and air demonstrations for over 35 years. The event also features Presentation of the Colors, where the names of local heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan are read in Memorial.
Dubuque Air Show & Fireworks Events and Activities
Various activities are planned during the festive weekend at McDonald Park, next to the Hawthorn Boat Ramp just below Lock and Dam 11. Kids can enjoy games and inflatables. Attendees can also get a free American flag at the Radio Dubuque broadcast ten to wave it proudly during the air demonstrations. The pilots are able to see people waving to them as they make their jaw-dropping stunts.

The 2024 fireworks display and air show will dedicated to the men and women of the USA Armed Forces—Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves, and the “local” heroes—firefighters, EMS personnel, and police.
