Sturgis Falls Celebration 2024 in Iowa
A large summer celebration in the city of Cedar Falls

Sturgis Falls is the annual celebration in Cedar Falls, held on the last full weekend of June. The city celebration, which has been held since 1976, takes place at Overman and Gateway Parks, hosting several stages for free entertainment. Over 20 bands play jazz, country, rock-n-roll, and blues. The festival is free for the public to attend.
Performance Schedule
The Gateway Park Stage will showcase live music throughout the weekend, with performances scheduled from 5 pm to midnight on Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday, and 1 pm to 10 pm on Sunday. Friday's lineup includes Greg Deitrick Jazz Trio, Solid Ground, Snozzberries, and Not Quite Brothers. Saturday features Ace Jones, Wild Card, Molly Nova & The Hawks, SideShow Bob, and Sixteen Candles. Sunday wraps up the festivities with Deja Blue, Heath Alan, and Bob Dorr Blue 2 Jam.
The Overman Park Stage promises a diverse lineup of performances throughout the weekend. Friday will feature acts like Ahmad Madlock, Carter Guse, Sugar Daddy's Jazz Band, Sweet Adelines, and SFOE Children's Choir, along with the Opening Ceremony, Bill Riley Talent Competition, and Cedar Falls Community Theatre. Saturday's program includes Music Hill Studio, a Talent Competition, and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band Ensemble. Finally, on Sunday, attendees can enjoy performances by Travis and Abby Turpin, Perry Miller Live, Chris Merz and Mike Conrad, and the Cedar Falls Municipal Band.
Events & Activities
The three-day Sturgis Falls Celebration also features a parade, an arts and crafts fair, a children's parade, a Kidsway stage, carnival rides (a single ticket is $1 & $20.00 each day for unlimited rides), a firefighters' dance, kids' fun, a 5k run, a car show, scheduled for Sunday, a talent contest, and various family-friendly activities. The Kids Parade is scheduled for Friday, June 28th, starting at 4:30 pm. The 2024 Main Parade will take place on Saturday, June 29th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. It will start at 8th and Clay Street and conclude at 5th and Franklin Street.
