Napa Porchfest usually takes place on the last Sunday of July in the Old Town Napa area, near Fuller Park. Streets are closed to traffic during this favorite community event so that residents can enjoy dancing, singing, walking, skating, and cycling.
Porchfest features live music from local musicians, playing on some of the most beautiful porches in Napa. The event draws about 15,000 attendees and over a dozen participating bands, which play acoustic music, folk, jazz, and country. People go from porch to porch with their friends and families, enjoying the warm atmosphere, good music, and friendly conversations with Napa's old Victorian porches on the backdrop. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Food will be available at the Porchfest. Alcohol is not allowed.
In 2021, due to COVID-19, Porchfest was held in a different format. A free concert featuring Napa bands was held on September 26, from 12 to 8 pm at Oxbow RiverStage, located at the Napa Valley Oxbow Commons (1268 McKinstry St., Downtown Napa).
