Deep in the Woods 2023

A one-weekend party to escape from city life and daily routines

Dates: September (canceled)

Deep in the Woods is an alternative electronic music festival. Contrary to typical raves organised outside the city, Deep in the Woods is not a never-ending intense party. You will not hear DJs playing hardcore techno, dubstep, or jungle—the music is more delicate and relaxed. The lineup is eclectic and unites songwriters, folk musicians, free jazz bands, and post-hardcore artists to play live and enjoy experimental music projects.

Since 2011, the festival has taken place in the Domain de Massembre in Heer-sur-Meuse, a 140-hectare park reserve in the province of Namur, Wallonia. The fresh air and tranquillity of the Ardennes attract those who want to take a break from the urban lifestyle and relax a bit. Along with live concerts in the evening, visitors may enjoy walks in the forest, an outdoor cinema, a sauna, yoga sessions, light and visual art outdoor exhibitions, etc.

The variety of activities and the general serene atmosphere of the festival makes it suitable not only for individual music-lovers but also for families with children. Even though Deep in the Woods covers a vast territory, it only hosts 700 participants so that the festival does not become overcrowded and chaotic.
