What could be more nostalgic than a good old county fair with a traditional carnival, games, and fair foods? You can immerse in this throwback experience at The Napa County Fair & Fiesta, held on the first weekend of May at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga.
The fair, which often coincides with the vibrant Cinco de Mayo celebration, features Mariachi music, Mexican bull riding, and folk dancing. Additionally, there's always a carnival, giant lawn games, bumper cars, rock wall, classroom safari and wild animals, zip line, Spin Challenge, Hoppy Horses, and Giant Trykes. Arts, photography, gardening and farming competitions showcase Napa Valley talents. Cooking demonstrations and food education also play a big role.
Napa County Fair & Fiesta is a three-day event with plenty of things to learn and try. Arts, crafts vendors, and the food trucks are among everyone's favorites. Evening live music performers will surely keep everyone entertained. General Admission to the fair is $25 at the gate, per person. Kids of age 6-17 pay $20 at the gate. Calistoga Fairgrounds is a popular venue in Napa Valley with races at Calistoga Speedway, great golf on Mount St. Helena Golf Course, and several indoor and outdoor spaces for various events and gatherings.
