The annual Fairy Festival is a popular children's event held at Rosemary House in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, every September. The festival features live music, scavenger hunts, story readings, face painting, fairy potpourri, arts and crafts workshops, and a fairy fashion show.
The little guests of the Rosemary House Fairy Festival can wear their own wonderful costumes for a more complete experience, immersing themselves in the fantasy world, mingling with fairies, elves, forest sprites, wizards,, unicorns, hobbits, gnomes, and mermaids. Participants can also feast on fairy-themed snacks, like a Fairy Food Lunch Sack that requires a pre-order. The festival also features an array of activities for ages 3 to 11, like DYI Pixie Face Painting, Fortune Fairy Ducks, Trinket Trading Shop, Tattoos of the Wee Folk, Mining for Gem Blessing Stones, lots of Bubbles, sand art, decorating fairy wings, and painting with watercolors.
The Rosemary House Fairy Festival also promises a unique shopping experience with vendors, like Jenni Buffington Art, Fantasy Face Painting, Elemental Whisperings, Posies Pretties, Soolah Hoops, and Hemp Creations (hair clips, dream catchers, jewelry, pet magnets, painted rocks, and more). The festival runs from 10 am to 4 pm. The price of admission is $7.50.
