Ravenwood Faire is an annual medieval-themed event held at Frederick County Fairgrounds during two weekends in October. The faire recreates a bygone era of the late Medieval period to the high Renaissance period. Ravenwood Faire features an array of family-friendly activities and immersive experiences, centered around harvest celebrations led by the Baron and Baroness of Ravenwood.
Ravenwood Faire Activities and Events
Ravenwood Faire features a vibrant Marketplace full of artisans and craftsman, presenting their unique wares. Visitors can also feast on the finest foods and drinks, including meads and ales. Minstrels and Renaissance musicians provide high-quality entertainment. Meanwhile, the king's knights engage in the Royal Joust, the King's Grail Quest, and other challenges. The King's Feast is a unique chance for visitors to sit, feast, drink, and party like a monarch while supporting the Ravenwood Foundation.
The Viking Encampment will offer educational and fun activities for people of all ages. Other types of entertainment include glass-blowing demonstrations, falconry, puppeteers, stilt walkers, balloon artists, full armor combat demonstrations, living statues, and more.
Fair Hours
The Ravenwood Faire takes place on Fridays from 3 to 9 pm, on Saturdays from 10 am to 7 pm, and on Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm.
Tickets
Single Day Adult Ticket (ages 16+) for Ravenwood Faire costs $25, and a Child Ticket (ages 7-15) is $15. Children from 0 to 6 years old don't need admission. A 3-day Adult Ticket is $45, and a 3-day Child Ticket is $30. Passes for two days, Season Pass, and Royal Feast Tickets are also available.
Location and Parking
The Ravenwood Faire will take place at the Frederick County Fairgrounds, 250 Fairground Road, Clear Brook, VA. Parking is allowed only in designated parking areas.
Pets Policy
Only service animals are allowed at the fairgrounds, and they need to be leashed.
