Coney Island Balloon Glow is an annual family-friendly event taking place at Coney Island Amusement Park in Cincinnati during the Independence Day Weekend. A free, fun experience allows visitors to see tethered hot air balloons up close, meet other crews and pilots, and marvel at giant balloons illuminating the sky with their burners. Located on the banks of the Ohio River, Coney Island is the favorite summer oasis for Cincinnati families, featuring thrilling waterslides, the famous Sunlite Pool, and other attractions.
Coney Island Balloon Glow usually starts at 8 pm and ends with a spectacular fireworks display at about 10 pm. Coney Island offers plenty of fun activities for children. During the day, kids can enjoy inflatables, paddleboats, and mini-golf. Meanwhile, adults can check out craft beer booths in Moonlite Pavilion. Food and drink concessions are available on the site. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or a blanket to sit on the grass during a spectacular show of glowing hot air balloons.
