The Villages Balloon Festival is one of Florida's best annual hot air balloon events. It takes place over a weekend in March at The Villages Polo Club at Buena Vista Blv. Balloons traditionally ascend in early mornings and later afternoons, as long as the weather conditions are favorable. Besides, you can fly in a tethered balloon, which will take you to nearly 40 ft (12 m) above the ground. Lastly, there will be spectacular balloon glows each evening.

Early birds can purchase a day admission for $15 and a weekend pass for $40, while on the day of the festival, the price rises to $20 and $50 correspondingly. The festival organizers encourage buying tickets in advance, as these might be sold out quickly.
