Monterey Park Cherry Blossom Festival Featured in
Cherry Blossom Festival of Monterey Park is a two-day regional event free to the public. The festival is a showcase of a wide array of contemporary and traditional Japanese arts encouraging cultural appreciation and exchange.
Take in a bit of the Japanese and Japanese-American culture by hearing the taiko drums' resounding beats, watching traditional Japanese dancing, and observing the mastery and various martial arts skills. Here, you have a chance to participate in the ancient art of the tea ceremony or buy hand-made crafts. Games & crafts for kids and plenty of cultural performances and displays are also here for your attention. The Festival features a wide range of international food, including many authentic Japanese dishes.
The Monterey Park Cherry Blossom Festival occurs each April through a volunteer committee's efforts. Donations are welcome to support this wonderful event.
