Chennault International Airshow Featured in
The KIA of Lake Charles Chennault International Airshow is a biennial festival, taking place at Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles, Louisiana, each time in a different month. The event follows a "tailgate airshow" model, which means that you buy a ticket for a space along the flight line to park your vehicle and watch the action from there.
Visitors to the Chennault airshow indulge in breathtaking air performances by the famous US Navy Blue Angels. Other headliners of the festive program include Liberty Jump Team, Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, and racing pilots. Lastly, the food trucks at the venue keep everyone full and pleased. The gates are open from 10 am to 5 pm. Note that unless you need to visit vendors or go to the bathroom, you should stay within your private viewing area.
Chennault International Airshow is presented by a non-profit organization, which supports STEM education in Southwest Louisiana. So by buying a ticket to this aviation display, you might help someone get a Learning Grant in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The tickets and latest updates are announced on the event's official website or Facebook, which you can find in the External Resources below.
