The Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation puts on the exciting Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Airshow in Texas. The airshow serves as a fundraising event for numerous veteran charities in Northeast Texas. Its objective is not only to provide support to these organizations but also to pay tribute to veterans and current military personnel. To honor the history of aviation in the United States, visitors will have the chance to witness planes and pilots from across the country, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and vintage aircraft from the Commemorative Air Force.
Flying LINE-UP
Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Air Show proudly presents performances by the A-26 "Lady Liberty" and other exciting aircraft. The amazing NextGen Eagles Formation Aerobatic Team will perform at the Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Air Show. Mentored by the Iron Eagle Aerobatic Team, the NextGen Eagles, led by Leland Kracher and Tom Braymer, deliver a unique, nostalgic, and captivating show that delights both newcomers and seasoned air show enthusiasts alike. One of the special things about Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Air Show is that it's also a twilight show. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views like this one featuring Randy W. Ball. The airshow will run from 6 pm to 9:30 pm on July 6.
Activities
During the day, you'll find food stands, live music, a car show, and plenty more to enjoy. Kids will have a blast with hands-on displays and the chance to chat with pilots while getting a close-up look at their planes.
Location & Tickets
All the action will occur at Cedar Creek Lake near the Pinnacle Club. VIP seating for the airshow is available at the Pinnacle Club with a $50 per seat donation to the Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation. Since it's a Lake Airshow, you can rent boats on the lake and waterfront backyards to witness the aircraft from the water. The prices start at $400 per day.
Airshow History
Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake Air Show celebrates its 19th anniversary in 2024. Each year, all proceeds from the sponsored Air Show go to veterans' programs. The show attracted an estimated 40,000 people last year.
