Capital Airshow 2024 in California

Presented by Sacramento County in partnership with the City of Rancho Cordova, this thrilling event showcases world-class performers that are sure to leave spectators breathless. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or simply looking for an exhilarating weekend among like-minded individuals, the California Capital Airshow promises an unforgettable experience filled with awe-inspiring aerial displays and unforgettable moments.

Schedule of Events

The flying performances at the air show will commence at 6 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, offering four hours of nonstop, action-packed entertainment with aircraft from around the world. Spectators can expect thrilling displays during the day, at sunset, and into the night. Military performers will take to the skies from 6 pm to 9 pm, leading into the spectacular Night Show performances. The 'Magic in the Air' extravaganza will culminate at 10 pm with a jaw-dropping pyro-musical fireworks show.

Lineup of Performers

The Capital Airshow's main attraction is Italy's National Military Demonstration Team—Frecce Tricolori—performing their renowned 10-jet routine both days! With tri-colored smoke, the Italians showcase precision and skill in low-level formation aerobatics. Additionally, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, F-35 Lightning II FULL Demo, U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet TacDemo, US Air Force C-17 Globemaster III Demonstration Team, Patriot Parachute Team, SUKHOI WEST DEMO TEAM, and GhostWriter Airshows will amaze the audience.

Attractions & Displays

Visitors to the upcoming air show can explore miles of colorful displays and interactive exhibits. They can get up close and personal with awesome Warbirds like the Mustang, Lightnings, Sabre, MiG, Thunderbolt, Tomahawk, Texan, Ryan, Navion, and more. Marveling at the sight of large military transport aircraft, including the C-5 Super Galaxy M, C-17 Globemaster II, KC-10 Extender, and KC-135 Stratotanker, all stationed on a massive ramp for the weekend, will be a highlight of the event. They will have the opportunity to meet the heroes of public safety and first responders who utilize airplanes and helicopters daily to protect and serve communities. Additionally, visitors can climb aboard UPS, FedEx, and other cargo giants to explore their enormous cargo holds and meet the dedicated men and women behind two of the world's largest air cargo fleets.

Tickets & Location

General admission tickets for adults (ages 16 and up) for the entire weekend are priced at $50. With each adult ticket purchase, up to 6 children (ages 15 and under) can enter for free. Children aged 15 and under enjoy free admission for general admission only. Additionally, standard vehicle parking is free of charge. Capital Club VIP pricing ranges from $150 to $300, providing exclusive access and amenities for a premium airshow experience.
