Take in the views of the endless Southern Utah skies and landscapes at the Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally. This mesmerizing event, often called Panguitch Balloon Festival, takes place in late June in Panguitch City. Hundreds of participants and viewers gather to watch an incredible scene of colorful hot air balloons soaring into the open skies.

Three mornings in a row, from 6 am to 9 am, mass ascension takes 30 balloons up into the sky. On the first two days of the festival, from 10 am to 10 pm, visitors can explore the variety of food and craft vendors. On Friday night, live music fills the central streets of Panguitch, on the crossroads of Main and Center St. Saturday promises a rich program with 5K race, kids activities, bingo and prizes, and other family fun. The day ends with live music and the legendary Balloon Glow from 9 to 10 pm in the city center. Sunday morning is the last chance to witness the mass balloon ascension.

In the 2020 edition, social distancing rules will apply: festival-goers have to maintain social distancing of 6 ft (2 m) in public settings, face coverings are to be worn when social distancing is difficult to maintain, and high-risk individuals have to avoid public gatherings. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided at no cost.
