Springville Art City Days Balloon Fest 2024 in Utah
Colorful balloons in Utah's Art City
Dates: June 7–8, 2024
Springville Balloon Fest is the main highlight of the annual Springville Art City Days, the major event in the city, located 7 mi (11 km) from Provo, Utah. Among the highlights of Springville Balloon Fest is the Orville Anderson Cup Competition, where balloon pilots compete to show off their skills.
The fun starts at 6:30 in the morning on Friday, with dozens of colorful balloons lifting off from the lawn of Art City Elementary, 121 North 900 East. In the evening, the amazing Ballon Glow is held at Clyde Recreation Center of Meadow Brook Elementary. From 8:30 to 9:45 pm, tethered balloons illuminate the dark, accompanied by music. After the Glow, attendees can stay for the Music and Family street dance in the parking lot of the Clyde Recreation Center from 9 to 10:30 pm. Glow sticks and lighted pools will create a special atmosphere!
On Saturday morning, another balloon launch is planned. For those interested in tethered rides, a sign-up is available each morning for a free ride. Kids can also enjoy free face painting, various activities, games, and prizes. Pilots will be throwing candy to kids during the takeoff. The public can bring blankets, lawn chairs, and food to have a perfect breakfast while amazing balloons lift off. They can also participate in a lottery. The two-day festival has free admission.
