The parade and reconstruction of the Duke's Ordination Ceremony take place during these two days and the atmosphere of going back in time widely flows around the area.

On August 31 and September 1, Amalfi and Atrani celebrated the Byzantine New Year, which marked the beginning of the financial and legal year in the era of the Eastern Empire, of which Amalfi was a peripheral autonomy.
