The Grand Gathering of Hynafol 2024 in Austin, TX

Hynafol is a medieval fantasy experience held every November in a picturesque pinewood forest near Bastrop, east of Austin. During the Grand Gathering, Sherwood Forest transforms into the vibrant world of Hynafol, featuring a medieval town where attendees can camp, eat, and shop. Guests even have the option to spend the night in the castle. This immersive role-playing event invites participants to create and embody a character throughout the gathering. As your character, you can choose a guild and join your group in making crucial decisions, engaging in battles, and embarking on exciting quests.

The Grand Gathering spans five days and is the largest annual event at the Sherwood Renaissance Faire. During this time, attendees can experience a variety of activities, including Courtly Nights, when the Royal Court of Hynafol convenes to settle kingdom disputes and celebrate with dancing at a grand Royal Ball.
