BRAFA Art Fair 2025 in Brussels
One of the oldest and most prestigious fairs in Europe
Dates: January 26–February 2, 2025
Every year, gallerists and collectors, artists and designers, and all those interested in fine arts and antiques come to Brussels to take part in BRAFA, the Brussels Art Fair. Held since 1956, the fair is one of the most respected events at the art market. BRAFA is one of Europe's most prestigious art fairs, an exceptional 8-day interlude of rare works from antiquity to the twenty-first century in the refined setting of the Brussels Expo.
BRAFA Art Fair Highlights
Over 130 galleries showcase from 10,000 to 15,000 objects. The fair is rather eclectic as the objects belong to different epochs and styles, offering an exceptional variety of specialties, including ancient and modern painting, tribal art, jewelry, silverware, and design.
Visitors may not only attend the exhibition and buy art; they can also attend workshops and join art talks with experts. They may also join special tours that introduce the exhibits and give informative insights into the art world.
Tickets and Opening Hours
Exclusive Saturday entrance tickets cost €110, day ticket adult is €30, day ticket (ages 16-26) is €10. Kids under 16 years old have free entrance. The Fair operates from 11 am to 7 pm.
Fair History
The number of visitors that come to the fair every year exceeds 60,000. BRAFA Art Fair is organised by the non-profit Belgian Antiques Fair Association. The fair takes place in Tour & Taxis, a trade and exhibition centre in Brussels. The location itself creates an impressive atmosphere as all the buildings belong to the former 19th-century train station and surrounding warehouses.
Location
In 2022, BRAFA relocated to a new venue at Brussels Expo on the Heysel Plateau, situated in the northern part of the Belgian capital. This move was prompted by the development of new projects at its previous location, the Tour & Taxis site.
