Escondido Renaissance Faire is a popular medieval-themed event, held two times per year, in the fall and in the spring. The faire takes place in Felicita Park, Escondido, during two magnificent weekends. Hundreds of costumed characters include royals, fairies, pirates, and knights. Quality entertainment, craft, and apparel vendors, period food, and beverages attract thousands of attendees to the Escondido Renaissance Faire.
Visitors have an opportunity to immerse in the Elizabethan Era, watching battles, drinking ale in the pub, or shopping for medieval garments. The highlights of the faire include Queen's Quest and Parade, a full-contact Jousting tournament, a Battle Pageant, and an Archery Tournament. In addition, the public can see battle reenactments, Battle for the Bone, jugglers, dancers, storytellers, live music on two stages, and much more. Adults can relax at King Richard’s Tavern, enjoying beer, ale, mead, and wine. Plenty of activities await the little ones in the Kid’s Zone.
Escondido Renaissance Faire runs from 10 am to 5 pm. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. General admission is $25.
