The RAF Cosford Air Show is one of the top aviation events in the United Kingdom, held at the Royal Air Force station in Cosford, Shropshire. The air show attracts over 50,000 attendees of all ages.
A day full of thrill at Cosford starts at 8 am when the gates get opened for visitors. An exciting six-hour flying display starts at noon and ends at about 5:30 pm. The displays include impressive demonstrations of modern military aircraft from the Royal Air Force and its partners. Among the most awaited events of the show are also the iconic vintage aircraft appearances.
On the ground, the RAF Zone exhibition showcases the best achievements of today’s Royal Air Force. In addition to hands-on displays and exhibitions, there is a mock-up Chinook helicopter. Besides outdoor displays, there's plenty of fun inside hangars. RAF hangar displays will allow visitors to see behind the scenes and get familiar with the training to become qualified RAF technicians and engineers. Vintage Village is one of the most popular attractions on the ground with dozens of historical aircraft and vehicles, both military and civilian. Live music, performances, and a vintage tea experience contribute to the unique atmosphere of the air show. Visitors can also go for a ride in a helicopter, attend Tina-Lou’s Vintage Fair, or have a pint at the Village Pub to relax after the exciting day outdoors.
