The annual Gulf Coast Renaissance Faire and Pirate Festival is held at Five Flags Speedway in Florida, taking place over two weekends in early March.
Festival Highlights
Visitors will be transported into a vibrant world of jousting, medieval theatre, Renaissance games of skill, falconry, and lively merchants. As you mingle with the crowds, you'll see people dressed as knights, royalty, magicians, gypsies, and more. Arabian dancers, fire breathers, jugglers, and numerous other performers provide entertainment throughout the event.
Activities
Demonstrations play a key role in the Festival's craft program, offering a chance to interact directly with artisans. Attendees can watch as talented artists craft beautiful, diverse, and colorful products during the event! A highlight of the Gulf Coast Renaissance Faire is the joust, along with live animal displays and falconry exhibitions.
Food & Games
Food and beverage vendors are available to satisfy every palate, along with areas for games and rides. The games feature skill-based events like archery and ax-throwing, as well as other challenges.
Schedule
In 2025, the festival will take place on two weekends, February 22-23 and March 1-2. The location is open to the public at 10 am, and the festival doors close at 6 pm. As for the costumes, these are encouraged but not required. You may wear anything related to the past, and even something like Darth Vader.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online. Adult admission is $15 for a single day or $25 for the weekend. Children's tickets are $10 for one day or $15 for two days. The All Pass, covering both weekends, is available for $50 for adults and $35 for children. Children aged five and under can enter for free. Please note that pets are not allowed.
Location
Previously, the festival was held at the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds in Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida, about a 30-minute drive northeast of Pensacola. It is now hosted at Five Flags Speedway, a renowned racing venue located in Pensacola. Known as the "Home of Speed" in the Gulf Coast region, the speedway has been a key location for motorsport events, including stock car races and the famous Snowball Derby.
