Bloomington Lake is a perfect summer destination for a swim, picnic, or simple relaxation on the shore. Surrounded by beautiful rugged mountains, the lake is located in about 30 minutes from the town of Bloomington, Idaho. The lake can be reached by a 1-mile easy trail that starts at the parking lot. Alternatively, you can get there from the Western side of the mountains through Willow Flat Campground, but this route is a bit longer.

Bloomington Lake is excellent for kayaking and paddleboarding. There is a rope swing on the East side of the lake, and some cliffs to jump from. There are plenty of campsites along the way. The best time to enjoy the lake is the warm season from late June/early July through September. People come here to escape the summer heat. Beautiful wildflowers surround the lake in August. The area also features Bloomington Canyon and Paris Peak. Many visit the lake along with Bear Lake in neighboring Utah.
