Hot Air Balloon Events

One of the festival's main attractions is the hot air balloon events. According to the organizers, the festival kicks off on August 1 with a Hot Air Balloon Glow on Main Street, where visitors can interact with balloon pilots and enjoy live music. The balloons will illuminate Main Street with their burners from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, although they will not take flight during this event. Weather permitting, competitive balloon flights will take place on August 2 and 3, launching from various city locations and flying to Chippewassee Park. The main balloon launch is scheduled for 7 pm on August 2 and 3, followed by the Balloon Glow at 9 pm, creating a spectacular evening display.

Family-Friendly Activities

The festival offers numerous family-friendly activities, including an art fair, fun competitions, and kids' activities. On August 3, from 10 am to 3 pm, the Kids Zone near the Tridge will feature coloring, woodworking kits, Lego building, and nature crafts. There will also be face painting, rock painting, and various interactive art projects facilitated by Public Arts Midland throughout the festival.

Live Music and Entertainment

Live music is a significant part of the festival, with performances scheduled throughout the event. Notable acts include "Leave Those Kids Alone" on August 2 and the "Kait Rose Band" on August 3. In addition, there will be silent dance parties, live performances, and a fireworks show on August 3 at 9:45 pm, sponsored by the Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation.
