Festival History

In 2013, Kira Phillips, the founder of the festival, initiated the planning process for what would eventually evolve into the Orlando Renaissance Festival. With three years of dedicated effort and the support of an equally committed team, the inaugural Orlando Renaissance Festival finally debuted in 2016, marking the beginning of an exciting journey.

Kira Phillips envisioned the Orlando Renaissance Festival as a celebration that embraces the local community of Orlando while showcasing the talent, uniqueness, and enthusiasm of creative individuals throughout Central Florida. The festival serves as a heartfelt tribute to the city's residents and a platform for highlighting the vibrant spirit of the region's creative community.
