Oakdale Christmas Display 2024-2025 in St. Petersburg, FL

The Oakdale Christmas Display is a festive spectacle that truly brings the holiday spirit to life. Featuring an impressive half-million lights, the display spans about half an acre, with the centerpiece being a towering Christmas tree light array that reaches an astounding 70 feet (21 m). Events

The Oakdale Christmas Display features an incredible array of lights and animated displays. In addition to the half-million lights, the event boasts numerous inflatables, moving figures, and bubble machines that will delight children. The scene includes a stunning 18-train HO-scale railroad with 16 carnival rides, plus a beautiful manger scene with over 150 pieces. Visitors can also enjoy a life-size, talking, and dancing snowman, an animated Teddy bear, a singing Christmas tree, and "Ernie," a tightrope-balancing bear. Two large mirrored balls create a magical snowflake effect, adding to the festive atmosphere. There's something for everyone to enjoy, making this display a must-see for the holiday season.

The Oakdale Christmas Display is free to the public and operates from 6 pm to 10 pm at 2719 Oakdale Street South.

History of Oakdale Christmas Display

The Oakdale Christmas Display began in 1977 with a small light setup, growing to 6,200 lights by 1980 and 60,000 by 1989. Over the years, it expanded to over half a million lights. The display has gained widespread attention, appearing on HGTV's All Out Christmas Special and in PEOPLE Magazine.
