Lights Under Louisville (November 8, 2024–January 4, 2025)

Lights Under Louisville is one of the most enchanting holiday light displays in the city and a cherished tradition that promises a magical experience. With over 6 million twinkling lights illuminating the expansive cavern, visitors are transported into a festive underground wonderland. This captivating show features themed displays, favorite holiday characters, festive music, lasers, and much more. Whether you're a returning guest or discovering it for the first time, Lights Under Louisville offers a memorable holiday experience for the entire family.

Lights Under Louisville is scheduled from November 8, 2024, to January 4, 2025. On the opening day, the hours will be from 6 pm to 10 pm., while daily hours will generally be from 9 am to 10 pm. However, special hours are in place for holidays, with Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day hours set from 5:30 pm to 10 pm. Visitors can also enjoy the Christmas Express train from 10 am to 4 pm. For standard vehicles, tickets start at $42.99, with Saturday pricing at $49.99.

Gardens Aglimmer (November 29–December 30, 2024; on select dates)

Louisville's beloved holiday tradition returns for its fifth year this December. Visitors can enjoy a magical walk through the Waterfront Botanical Gardens, where dazzling lights and illuminated displays create a festive atmosphere. Highlights include giant flowers, sparkling snowflakes, glistening deer, and twinkling archways. Indoors, families can create crafts, write letters to the North Pole, and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year introduces two special event nights: Date Night on December 11 (for ages 21+ only) and a Sensory Friendly Night on December 16.

Ticket prices for Gardens Aglimmer are $17 for adults (ages 13 and up) for nonmembers, while members enjoy a discounted rate of $12. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 are admitted for $10 as nonmembers and $8 for members. Children aged two and under can enter for free. Gardens Aglimmer is a timed event, with entry slots beginning at 5:45 pm and the final entry at 7:45 pm, allowing visitors to explore until the lights are turned off at 9 pm each night.

Festival of Trees & Lights (November 15–17, 2024)

Festival of Trees & Lights is more than just a Christmas lights display. It's an annual festival and a charity event with hundreds of decorated, twinkling trees and other decors at Louisville Slugger Field—all for sale to benefit Norton Children's Hospital. Festival of Trees & Lights includes pictures with Santa, Elf Towv, grab-and-go children's crafts, ride-on train, holiday entertainment and Hanukkah activities, making it a perfect holiday event to drop in on.

For general admission from November 15 to 17, tickets are priced according to age groups and include unlimited train rides and access to the outdoor Elf Town. Adult tickets for ages 13 to 64 are available for $15 each. Seniors 65 and older can enjoy discounted admission for $10. Children aged 3 to 12 have a ticket price set at $12. A special ticket is required for the preview, but the general admission ticket covers all the holiday fun during the designated dates.
