One of the best Louisville Christmas lights shows is called Lights Under Louisville. It’s an annual underground holiday light performance that features over 900 lit characters with more than 4,000,000 points of illumination. Take your family and get a buzz out of a 30-minute ride through part of the Louisville Mega Cavern. You can drive your car or book a seat on the Christmas Express. Tickets prices range from $32,99 to $299,99.
Winter Woods Spectacular (late November–early January 2024, unconfirmed)
Once a year, the woods of South Louisville’s Iroquois Park are transformed into a Christmas wonderland. Winter Woods Spectacular is a magical drive-thru featuring millions of twinkling lights, artistic scenes, and other-worldly sounds you can enjoy right from the comfort of your vehicle. The gates open nightly Sunday through Thursday, 6 pm–10 pm, Friday & Saturday, 6 pm–11 pm. The cost per vehicle ranges from $35 to $100.
Festival of Trees & Lights (November 10–12, 2023)
Festival of Trees & Lights is more than just a Christmas lights display. It’s an annual festival and a charity event with hundreds of decorated, twinkling trees and other decors at Louisville Slugger Field—all for sale to benefit Norton Children’s Hospital. Festival of Trees & Lights includes pictures with Santa, grab-and-go children’s crafts, Hanukkah activities, Very Merry Market, Sweet Shop, a ride-on train, making it a perfect holiday event to drop in on.
