Katy Rice Festival & Parade 2024 in Texas

The Katy Rice Festival attracts people from Katy, Texas, and beyond to celebrate the rice harvest season with great food and plenty of live entertainment. This three-day event in Downtown Historic Katy features an expanded food area with craft beers, unique vendors, a carnival, kids' and teens' areas, and live music.
Katy Rice Festival Parade (October 5, 2024)
The traditional merrymaking typically begins on the first Saturday in October with the Katy Rice Festival Parade, which takes place at 9 am. Dozens of vivid floats adorned with rice, history, or Katy-themed decorations stroll through the heart of Katy, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Events at the Fest Weekend
The main festivities take place on the second weekend of October: Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm. Bring the family and enjoy a full day of great craft vendors, live music, food trucks, and much more! There will be fun for the whole family, including a kids/teen zone with bouncy attractions, a petting zoo, and a sports arena featuring a variety of interactive games that encourage friendly competition. Additionally, there will be craft beer and an expanded food area.
Tickets & Transportation
The parade's entry fee is $25. As for the festival itself, admission is $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Children aged twelve and under get free admission. Carnival tickets cost $1 each, or you can get 20 tickets for $24. Wristbands are available for $30. Drinks are priced at $2 for soda and water, which requires one ticket, and $5 for beer, as well as one ticket. You can count on free shuttle services to and from the Merrell Center on Saturday and Sunday. Note that Katy is located a mere 30-minute drive from Houston. The Katy Rice Festival is hosted by the City of Katy and the Rotary Club of Katy. The funds raised are geared toward scholarships and donations for the local community.
