Katy Rice Festival & Parade 2023

A weekend of food, music, and live entertainment 30 miles (48 km) west of Houston

Dates: October 13–15, 2023

Katy Rice Festival entices everyone from Katy, Texas, and beyond to celebrate rice harvest season through great food and plenty of live entertainment. The traditional merrymaking typically kicks off on the first Saturday in October with Katy Rice Festival Parade. Dozens of vivid floats decked with rice, history, or Katy theme make their way across the city's heart. Yet, the main part runs on the second weekend of October. The three-day conviviality in Downtown Historic Katy embraces an expanded food area with craft beers, cool vendors, the carnival, kids' and teens' area, and live music.

The parade's entry fee is $25. As for the festival itself, admission is free on Friday and $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Children aged twelve and under get free admission. Katy Rice Festival is hosted by the City of Katy and the Rotary Club of Katy. The funds raised are geared toward scholarships and donations for the local community.

You can count on free shuttle services to and from the Merrell Center on Saturday and Sunday. As for the festival's hours and other details, please check the event's official website or Facebook, provided in the External Resources below.
