The central Lunar New Year festival is held in Toronto Chinatown Business Improvement Area, namely Toronto Chinatown Mall and Dragon City Mall. The Lion Dance parade is usually the most popular and awaited event, which is followed by a street festival in the area of Spadina Ave and Dundas St West. The whole neighborhood turns red and gets filled with drum beats, fireworks and firecrackers bangs, as well as smoke, from 8 am to 7 pm.
