Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place every year and is the longest-running “must-see” summer event in New England. The skies over Quechee in Vermont and New Hampshire are filled with stunning colorful hot air balloons.
There are many balloon ride options. Over the weekend, you can choose from a slew of ascensions, starting at 6 am on Saturday and Sunday and on 6 pm on all days of the festival. Tethered balloon rides are also available between ascensions. You can purchase a ticket to the tethered ride only upon arrival.
The Quechee Hot Air Balloon weekend also features a tremendous Craft & Music Festival with over 60 commercial vendors and craft artisans selling their goods. All this display is usually accompanied by loud music, festival food, and endless entertainment.
Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival isn't just about balloons, though. It also commemorates the sense of community between balloon aficionados and locals. In addition to learning about the art and science of hot air ballooning, attendees frequently take advantage of the chance to mingle with pilots and take part in other events that go along with the main balloon shows. So, don't forget to book your housing in advance and have a wonderful time!
