Carlsbad Village Street Faire is a unique event that takes place every six months and guarantees a lot of fun for you and your family. Usually, the event is scheduled for the first Sunday in May and November. Held since 1975, it has become one of the most iconic single-day street fairs in the US. The event’s organizers prepare amazing stuff for any taste, including various children's rides, arts and crafts, clothing shops, antiques, vintage goods, and more. No wonder the fair draws tens of thousands of fans.
The fair hosts over 750 international vendors, and foods take a large share. The fair boasts an international food center and the crowd's favorite traditional pancake breakfast. Feel free to stroll around downtown Carlsbad, taste mouthwatering meals, sip cool drinks, buy vintage souvenirs, or play games with your children. In addition to all this fun, you’ll be surrounded by gorgeous California nature, with its tropical palms, warm climate, and balmy ambiance.
The fair takes place in downtown Carlsbad, on Grand Ave & Carlsbad Blvd, from approximately 8 am to 5 pm in spring and 8 am to 4 pm in fall. Please note that parking is limited at this event, so you may want to resort to shuttles, running to and from the fair venue every 15 minutes. The pick-up spots include the Shoppes at Carlsbad Plaza Camino Real and the Poinsettia Coaster Station. Also, keep in mind that Carlsbad is super busy this festive time of year. So, we recommend booking your accommodation beforehand.
