Chinese New Year Festival 2025-2026 in Colorado Springs, CO

Traditional Chinese dances and cuisine to ring in the Lunar New Year

Dates: January 29, 2025-February 16, 2026

Each winter, the Colorado Springs Chinese Cultural Institute (CSCCI) holds the Chinese New Year Festival at the City Auditorium. This popular cultural event introduces the public to the fascinating history and culture of China. Merchants and artisans offer traditional Asian-inspired items, and the "Taste of China" stalls sell a variety of Chinese-themed foods and drinks. Chinatown Marketplace has a lot to offer for the lucky New Year: jewelry, decor items, dragons, and apparel.

The Main Stage performances typically include traditional dances, Kung-Fu demonstrations, fascinating yo-yo shows, and Chinese musical performances. The public can see the Lion Dance, Taiko Drummers, and Asian Aerial Acrobatics. Those willing to chill out while learning the beautiful art of calligraphy or playing mahjong and "Go" can head to the "Teahouse."

The performances last between 11 am–12 pm and 1-2 pm. Admission for the New Year celebration is $15 for adults, and $10 for students, children, and seniors. Kids under 3 are free.
