The Isle of Wight Balloon Festival is a regular event held at Robin Hill Country Park in late May. The festival features free-flying balloon rides, tethered rides, and spectacular nighttime glows. The festival also features behind-the-scenes talks from award-winning pilots and internationally renowned industry specialists. The 88-acre Robin Hill Country Park is located in Downend, outside Newport.

Thousands of attendees can enjoy amazing sights of colorful balloons over the beautiful nature oasis, including various specially shaped hot air balloons. The Isle of Wight Balloon Festival also offers live music, street performers, and excellent street food. Spectacular award-winning balloon glows are held every night, synchronized to a music soundtrack and to a spectacular firework display and lighting show.

Robin Hill’s Lower Valley offers a unique ballooning experience from 11 am to 10 pm on a three-day weekend. Robin Hill, often called a hidden gem of the Isle of Wight, boasts natural woodland and beautiful gardens with ponds, bridges, sculptures, and tumbling water. Additionally, the park hosts canopy walkways, Jungle Heights adventure nets, a 4D cinema, and various playgrounds.
