Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area boasts enough 4th of July festivals to make memories, but Arlington (located between the two cities) also shouldn't be left out. Located about 12 miles (19 km) from Forth Worth and 20 miles (32 km) from Dallas, Arlington hosts a wonderful Independence Day Celebration, featuring fireworks and a parade.
Light Up Arlington
Free festivities start on the eve of the 4th of July with the Light Up Arlington event. The parade commonly takes place from 6 pm to 10:30 pm. The celebration usually includes some of the top musical acts in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, vendors, kid-friendly fun (face painting and a bubble bus), and food trucks. Don't miss the main highlight of the party—the Arlington Firework Show, which starts at around 9:50 pm and lasts about 20 minutes.
Arlington Independence Day Parade

This procession is actually Arlington's oldest celebration and, what's more, one of Texas' largest 4th of July parades. Mansfield Fireworks Show | Mansfield Rocks
Take a short trip to Mansfield, located 13 miles (20 km) from Arlington, to celebrate Independents Day with family and friends. Mansfield Rocks' different events and activities feature games, slides, food, live music, and a wave pool at Hawaiian Falls. The celebration caps off with a world-class fireworks show. Each car must purchase a ticket for $20.
Southlake Fireworks | Southlake Stars & Stripes Celebration
Southlake (21 miles (34 km) from Arlington) celebrates Independence Day with an annual Stars & Stripes event on July 3. Festivities include patriotic ceremonies, delicious food, live music, and fireworks. Various activities allow guests of any age to have a great time and join the patriotic celebration. The Free Stars & Stripes Celebration usually starts at 5 pm and lasts until 11 pm on Main St Southlake, featuring fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Bedford 4thFest is a grand opportunity to spend Independence Day in a friendly atmosphere with appetizing food, various vendors, events, fun, and spectacular fireworks at the Boys Ranch Park. The events usually run from 5 to 10 pm at Generations Park at Boys Ranch. Bedford is within 11 miles (17 km) from Arlington.
Hurst Fireworks | The Annual City of Hurst Stars & Stripes
The annual Independent Day event in Hurst, located 10 miles (16 km) from Arlington, usually takes place on July 3 at Hurst Community Park. Locals and guests come out to enjoy live music, food, and a superb fireworks show, which commonly begins at 9:30 pm. Free shuttles to Stars & Stripes grounds are available from designated parking at North East Mall.
Burleson Fireworks | Red, White & BTX
Burleson City, located 28 miles (45 km) from Arlington, invites you to celebrate Independent Day with Red, White & BTX. The event will feature a parade, food trucks, a concert, and fireworks at Hurst Community Park. The program will be completed with a fireworks show at around 9:30 pm. No alcohol, glass bottles, pets, or tents are allowed in the park.
