The Saga International Balloon Fiesta is a popular balloon festival held every autumn in Saga City, Saga Prefecture. The fiesta features around 100 balloons, rising along the Kase Riverside, just outside Saga City. Dating back to 1978, the Saga International Balloon Fiesta is one of the largest on the continent, attracting over 800,000 visitors each year.

The Saga International Balloon Fiesta gathers balloon enthusiasts from around the world. Its main highlight in the past was the Hot Air Balloon World Championship. Another crowd-pleaser is the Balloon Fantasia, which features special shapes and unique balloon designs, adored by children. You can see Doraemon and various popular cartoon characters. Additionally, crowds gather to see the La Montgolfier Nocturne (The Night of Hot Air Balloons), which features tethered balloons lighting up their burners to illuminate night skies and create a unique atmosphere.

Spectators gather around Balloon Plaza, where many vendors offer food and beverages. It's also possible to buy festival merchandise and enjoy some entertainment. Rest Station is located on the north side of the fiesta grounds. It includes Umakamon Food Market, Furusato Bussankan Regional Product Center, and the Event Area with live performances by musicians. Umakamon Food Market and Furusato Bussakan Regional Product Center offer regional delicacies, souvenirs, and specialty goods.
