Enjoy live music, entertainment, delicious food, and celebrate America's Independence Day in the parks, squares, and beaches of Los Angeles. Starting at noon, food stands, carnivals, and other entertainment awaits you. And in the evening, visit the 4th of July Block Party between the Temple and Second Streets in downtown in the City of Angels. Enjoy the music of all genres at three different stages and try some of the best American dishes from food trucks and local restaurants. But most importantly, you can enjoy the dazzling fireworks at the end of the holiday on the rooftop.
One of the greatest events of the 4th of July Weekrnd is the Pacific Palisades Parade. The procession starts at about 2 p.m. with skydivers descending from the sky. March bands make their promenade on Sunset Boulevard, between Via de la Paz and Drummond. The festivities end with a concert and fireworks, of course.
If you prefer to celebrate 4th of July in an active way head to Huntington Beach Pier, where the holiday is marked with a 5K race and fitness expo. Then there is a parade route which lasts till noon, followed by the Pier Plaza Festival offering music and great entertainment. There's also plenty of barbecued meat and activities for the whole family, which end with a grand fireworks display.
