Maine Restaurant Week is an annual 11-day event that takes place every March. Featuring many special events, competitions, and most importantly specially priced multi-course menus for lunches and dinners, making high cuisine more affordable.
Maine Restaurant Week started in 2008, and since then the list of participating restaurants has been growing for local foodies to discover more excellent places to eat and drink. Maine Restaurant Week was named the Best Restaurant Promotional Event by Lux Magazine. Maine Restaurant Week also donated thousands of dollars to local charities like Preble Street, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine, and United Way.
The MRW first involved only the restaurants in the city of Portland. Even though the greatest number of participating restaurants is still observed in Portland, MRW spread to many other cities across the state.
