The Chesapeake Bay is famous for its incredibly juicy crustacean species, so no wonder Chesapeake Crab, Wine & Beer Festival has become one of the most popular food festivals of the East Coast. With over 30,000 crabs, it is easy to indulge in favourite​ local seafood, washing it down with artisan craft beer and wine. In addition to food, there are arts & crafts, live music, activities for kids and more. The festival that is held at three locations—Baltimore in Maryland, National Harbour in Maryland and Washington, D.C., and Richmond in Virginia—gathers about 30,000 visitors at each of them.

The Chesapeake Crab & Beer Festival in Baltimore is the largest crab festival in the state that is held every June. It is held in the Inner Harbor with lots of tables and tents to enjoy the breeze from the Bay. The festival features over 60 beers and wines to choose from. There is also a 5K Crab Run and other activities.

The Chesapeake Crab & Beer Festival in National Harbor is held every August and another chance to satisfy one's passion for crab meat. The Festival features all-you-care-to-taste extravaganza with over 50,000 crabs, plenty of beer, live music, and family activities. The festival draws about 35,000 people.

In 2019, the Annual Crab Extravaganza has come to Richmond, Virginia, promising 30,000 delicious crabs and plenty of entertainment.
