Montana Renaissance Festival 2024

A medieval fair, nestled in Montana's highest mountains

Montana Renaissance Festival is an annual fun-filled fair held during one weekend in June at the foothills of gorgeous Beartooth Mountains, in Red Lodge, Montana. Attendees can step back in time and find themselves in 16th-century Europe and meet King Jayme, Queen Abbey, chivalrous knights, and numerous period demonstrators. Immerse yourself in a fantasy world full of fairies, magicians, storytellers, and minstrels. In 2024, 8 stages and 16 total performance areas will host more than 40 performers and demonstrators.

Entertainments and Events

One of the festival's main attractions is a bustling marketplace where visitors can mingle with lords, ladies, village folks, and merchants with their amazing wares. Entertainment includes full-contact armored jousting tournaments, equestrian shows, and various performers, like Alterna Cirque, Zoupa de Zonia comedy duo, Robyn Plaeyer Renaissance Man, falconry, and belly dancing.

There's also plenty of poetry and music. Festival organizers promise to unveil several new acts guaranteed to leave visitors spellbound with their extraordinary talents on the five stages.

The Order of Epona Jousting

Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of knights on horseback engaging in thrilling jousting competitions, showcasing their valor and honor.

Raptors Return

Visitors have no choice but to be amused by the majestic raptors as they soar through the skies, captivating audiences with their breathtaking aerial displays.

Chaste Treasure

Prepare to be enchanted by the beloved Chaste Treasure as they grace the stages once again, enthralling spectators with their mesmerizing performance.

Warrior Demonstrations

Get ready for pulse-pounding action as warriors from the SCA, Amtgard, and Sunz of Odin showcase their combat skills in thrilling demonstrations.

Pirate Invasion

Join the swashbuckling adventures of the invading pirates in the new Pirate's Cove. Embark on a quest for hidden treasures and experience the thrill of the high seas.

Tickets and Location

Guests can buy tickets online at the following prices: an adult one-day pass is $20.00, senior(65+)/military—$15, children (ages 4-15)—$10, and family pass (2 adults and 2 children)—$40. Other passes are also available to suit any budget. The program runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday in Red Lodge, Montana.

Festival History

Held since 2012, the festival has been one of the few Renaissance events in the state. Montana Renaissance Festival is a partner of The Washington Shakespearean Festival.
