One of New Haven's most impressive 4th of July celebrations takes place in West Haven, a city located 5 miles (8 km) to the southwest. The annual West Haven Savin Rock Fireworks Spectacular takes place on the Bradley Point peninsula within Savin Rock Park. The show is usually scheduled for the Saturday closest to Independence Day. But a rain date is also planned just in case – in 2024, it's July 5th. Don't miss the start of West Haven fireworks at 9:15 pm.

Town of Orange Fireworks (July 5, 2024)

Take a brief trip to Orange, located 5.7 miles (9 km) from West Haven, and continue the Independent Day celebration with a concert and fireworks display on Friday, July 5. The rain date for the event is Sunday, July 7th. Orange Fairgrounds will host the festivities beginning at 3 pm, and the concert will start at 6:30 pm.
