Since 2011, The San Diego Blues Festival has attracted crowds of blues fans from all over the US. Mavis Staples, Los Lobos, Eric Burdon & the Animals, and other big blues names have performed there. It featured members of the Blues Hall of Fame, Grammy Award winners and many more.
The mission of the festival, which is held every September, is to provide great blues music and raise money to battle hunger in the San Diego community. It contributed 20 tons of food and more than $435,000 for food banks.
The Audience can enjoy music on two stages while consuming local craft beer, specialty cocktails and wine. There are also food, arts and crafts vendors.
The San Diego Blues Festival takes place at the Embarcadero Marina Park North, on the downtown San Diego waterfront.
