The NorCal Corgi Con is a wonderful street party for dogs and people that used to take place at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. However, in 2023 it moved to a new location — the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Hundreds of lovely corgis, their owners, and spectators gather from 10 am to 5 pm. The event features a dog show, a corgi costume contest, dog races, and awards ceremonies. Corgi Con is free for everyone, and there is plenty of entertainment for the whole family.

The highlights of San Francisco Corgi Con include "Corgi Ninja Warrior," an obstacle course for dogs with short legs, a massive group picture, and a “Mickey’s Derby” for speedy corgis. In addition, visitors can enjoy flower crown crafts, a mini picnic, and plenty of shopping. From corgi keychains to patterned dog scarves, there's a lot to see at the marketplace!

San Francisco Corgi Con has become popular among dog lovers due to its Instagram appeal and great affection for adorable corgis in California. In 2014 Corgi Con was held for the first time as a casual coming together of 40 corgis on the beach. It was organized by Cynthia Lee, a corgi fan who wanted to find a way to meet pooches she followed on Instagram and Facebook. The event has grown to a full corgi convention of epic proportions, with over 1,000 dogs.
