New Year's Eve 2024-2025 in Virginia Beach, VA

The beautiful coastal city of Virginia Beach is the premier destination in the state when it comes to parties. Numerous hotels, bars, and clubs offer a wide array of dance parties and galas to celebrate the end of the year. There's also a large free street party and concert called The Last Night on the Town, organized by the city of Virginia Beach.

Last Night on the Town

Transforming the Virginia Beach Town Center into a bustling celebration, Last Night on Town manages to entertain both adults and younger visitors. With live music from Virginia-based artists, strolling performers, food, and beverages, the party is set to be an unforgettable night of fun and merriment. Festivities in the Fountain Plaza start at about 7 pm on December 31 with family-friendly activities in mind. Come to the lower plaza to dance with your children on the light-up dance floor or enjoy exciting shows by the strolling artists, including jugglers, stilt walkers, hoop performers, and so much more. The family-friendly part of the show is set to last until 9 pm.

The Main Stage entertainment begins at 9 pm and spans until 12:15 am. The stage is located on Columbus Street and showcases an exciting selection of musicians from Virginia and beyond. This year, the lineup features the headliner Hunter Hayes, Anthony Rosano & The Conqueroos, and DJ Mista Cham. The event is free, however, there's a ticketed VIP zone in a heated tent by the stage providing the best views. VIP ticket holders can also take advantage of party favors and specialty drinks and can participate in the Best Dressed Couple Contest. VIP passes cost $220 per person and $415 per couple.

Other NYE Parties & Events

For an indoor celebration, consider visiting any of the Virginia Beach nightclubs, hotels, or restaurants, which traditionally host end-of-the-year celebrations. One of the hotspots of the city's nightlife, Peabody's Night Club is set to hold an annual Masquerade Ball, filled with mystery, glitz & glamour, and unforgettable atmosphere. General admission tickets cost $25, while VIP tickets cost $100. The party spans from 7 pm until 2 am.

A local seafood restaurant, Catch 31 Fish House and Bar, is another option to celebrate the new year with a taste of luxury. The venue will serve as a home to the NYE Party, featuring DJ music by DJ Alex Lambrino, drinks, dancing, and a countdown. Tickets cost $60, and the party begins at 9 pm.
