Les Ardentes 2023 in Belgium
Rap, rock and hip-hop flows above the Meuse River
Dates: July 6–9, 2023
Every summer, around one hundred international and local artists gather in the city of Liege. They come to participate in Les Ardentes festival, one of the major music events in the Meuse–Rhine Euroregion. The program of the event is more than eclectic: you can hear rock and pop music, folk and French chanson, and soul and electro music. But, the main focus of Les Ardentes is on rap and hip-hop.
Since its first edition in 2006, the festival took place in Astrid de Coronmeuse, a picturesque park close to the city centre. The location was perfect for the event: the entire area of the festival is green and isolated from city life, but still easy to reach by multiple forms of transport. Every year, around 80,000 music lovers gathered on the banks of the Meuse river to listen to their favourite bands and to discover new names. For 2020, the growing festival changes its location. Rocourt is supposed to host the next edition.
From French, Les Ardentes is translated as "The Burning." The general atmosphere and line-up for each edition of the festival justify its name. In the history of Les Ardentes, the festival has hosted such world-famous music stars as Gucci Mane, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Placebo, Massive Attack, Kaiser Chiefs, 50 Cent, Marilyn Manson, Limp Bizkit, Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill, and plenty more.
The price for entry tickets starts at € 90 and rises as the date of the event comes closer.
